Hi Blair and all: Blair mentioned a lack of under wings images in his field guide. In addition to online images, the Slater wing collection images (http://digitalcollections.pugetsound.edu/slater/query_slater.html) has a few good Pacific Loon underwings showing the dark primaries and the white under wing coverts and a few common murres for comparison. In viewing these I'm reminded of the "burn out" in the white and we are compensating for this now. And I need to add more images of each group. If any one has special requests for images let me know.

I'd agree Pacific Loon with long neck well delineated gray side neck with white fore neck barely visible. The trailing feet and the dark line across the vent region is also visible.
