Thursday, February 24th 6:45 am - 8:45 am Lowman Beach Pk - Lincoln Pk
loop nature observation + stewardship walk with Stewart Wechsler

Crepuscular* Naturalist and Nature Seward, Stewart Wechsler will be
leading a sunrise nature observation and stewardship tip sharing Lincoln
Park loop walk starting from Lowman Beach Park and back.

*(A "crepuscular" critter is primarily active at dawn and dusk)

We will meet at 6:45 am at Lowman Beach Park (about 1//4 mi N. of
Lincoln Pk, where Beach Dr, 48th Av SW and Lincoln Pk Wy SW meet) We
will return to Lowman Beach at 8:45 am

Will the California and Stellar's Sea Lions still be around, as they
were last week? Will the 2 Ravens again be harassing the Bald Eagles?
Which of the migrating waterfowl will show up this week? We will learn
a couple of edible weeds and will be able to eat survival rings around
embattled native plants. Indian Plums have started to bloom and the
Trailing Yellow Violets - Viola sempervirens may be in bud. We may move
a couple of locally rare plants to better spots for them to spread. The
Winter Wrens will serenade us with their spring songs..

RSVP's - ecostewart at quidnund.net or message: 206 932-7225 - are very
helpful for my managing group size and planning additional programs, but
not necessary. All ages, tot to grandparent, all levels novice to grad
students and old professors welcome!

I will invite participants to be or continue to be a part of the mutual
support community of plants, animals, fungi and people that has been
supporting me and my full-time naturalist work of studying nature and
sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm, with no other day jobs. Any amount
of support - non-monetary or monetary, now, or later will be graciously
accepted.
