Hi all,
?
Delia and I and our friends Kim Riddell and Chris Maden did the Skagit-Samish trip today and we had a Golden Eagle high?over the?Wylie Slough headquarters area.? The photos, plus other sightings from the day,?are at:

?
I had a Golden Eagle near the same spot?there just 34 years ago.
?
Other sightings were a Greater Scaup at Hayden,? Band-tailed Pigeons in Edmonds, in Skagit a Peregrine, Merlin, Sharpy and two Coopers and on Samish Rough-legs and Short-eared Owls.? 16 Bald Eagles on an apparent carcass.? Hairy Woodpecker on the trail at Conway. Western Meadowlark at?Padilla.? A nice showing by the Black Phoebe. One?Barn Swallow, a few Tree Swallows. Lots of both swans, many Great Blue Heron. We dipped on shorebirds except Killdeer. ?Cold rain turned us back at West 90, which was hopping.
?
?
?
It was nice to see all the bird activity. A great contrast to Saturday when?we felt like Burt Guttman did recently?and I almost posted "Busted flat in Stillwater."
?
Best wishes,
