Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

The Winchuck River EASTERN PHOEBE continues to be seen. The Sellwood
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER is still being seen as is the wintering CASSIN?S
VIREO in the same area. The Union BLUE JAY and the BLUE JAY wintering in
Warm Springs continue to be seen.

BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES are being reported all along the coast. A
conspicuous movement of SANDHILL CRANES was reported during the week as they
passed over the Willamette Valley. A VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW was among the
swallow flock at Ankeny NWR February 19. A possible PURPLE MARTIN was
reported February 17 near the Tualatin NWR.

The Bay City RUDDY TURNSTONE continues to be seen. On February 21 a flock of
16 SNOW BUNTINGS was seen on Clatsop Beach near Warrenton.

The Joseph RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen again February 20. BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS
continue to be seen at Lostine and Enterprise. The Klamath Fall WHITE-WINGED
CROSSBILL was seen again February 19.

An adult BARNACLE GOOSE is now being seen at Ridgefield NWR. It is assumed
to be a ?naturalized? escaped bird.
