We've had a Yellow Shafted Flicker in our yard for the past two days at our
suet feeder in North Bend, in company with two Red Shafted Flickers. We are
thinking it could be a hybrid Yellow Shaft/Red Shaft, as the facial markings
are different than what shows in our Sibley's. Gray crown, nape and throat.
Brown face to red malar stripe, red "V" on back of neck. Definite yellow
under wings and tail.
