Hey tweets, as it looks like we'll all be stuck inside today, here's a
bit of spring thinking to cheer us on.

For those of us who like to garden with native plants to attract birds
to our backyards, here is a notice from the Native Plant Society:

Help sustain our biodiversity through use of native plants

Native Garden Design Workshop:

Presented by Washington Native Plant Society ? Central Puget Sound.
Sign?up before March 1st.

What: Native Garden Design Workshop will provide experience in
reforming yards into native plant habitats. An experienced landscape
and design professional will help you draw native garden site plans,
consider site constraints and help with native plant selection. Bring
photos of your yard to tackle specific problem areas.

When: Workshop will be conducted over three days: Sat. March 12th &
19th (9 am to 12 noon) and Sun. March 13th will be Garden and Nursery
tours.

Where: Location for both Saturdays is at Lewis Creek Visitor Center,
5808 Lakemont Blvd., Bellevue WA 98009

Cost: $100.00 (WNPS members $80.00)

native plant sale is Sat., May 7th 2011, 10am-4pm at the Bellevue
Botanical Garden. Over 150 species of local native plants, WNPS
experts on site and botany & gardening books available. Plan to come
