Hello Tweeters,
The cold weather has increased the sparrows in our yard. We have had a White-throated Sparrow the last two days. The last time we saw one was during the November storm.
Other sparrows:
6 Fox Sparrows
4 Golden-crowned Sparrows
2 Song Sparrows
3 Spotted Towhees
40 to 60 Juncos

We still have Evening Grosbeaks at our feeders. They showed up mid-December and have been here every day. We had high number of 30 about a month ago and about 25 today. Interesting because we have had only 3 or 4 sightings in the 18 years that we have lived here. Now they are daily visitors. They must like the accommodations. The grosbeaks, along with 30 Band-tailed Pigeons have gone through a lot seed.
