My first sighting today was 2 birds--2 Anna's hummingbirds duking it out over the feeder. The second sighting was a golden-crowned kinglet that came onto our deck to forage in the ficus tree that has been banished to the outdoors while the Christmas tree takes its space in the living room. I guess that means my ficus has bugs...? The kinglet has been at it several times.

First bird heard was a song sparrow.
