I was up on Fir Island yesterday, and their were good numbers of swans
between the Conway exit and the bridge over the Skagit River headed to
La Conner, as well as smaller numbers in the Maupin/Rawlins Road area.
None were close to the road, and I did not stop to ID them as to
species. There were not many up around Best Road and Rt 20, where I have
seen them been in the past.
