We are headed to Costa Rica this month. We will take Garrigues and
Dean's Birds of Costa Rica and Lawson's Bird-finding Guide to Costa
Rica. The latter has been a great guide in terms of planning and
getting to know what to expect. Not a book to take along, but if you
want to prepare for hummingbirds, Michael and Patricia Fogdend's
Hummingbirds of Costa Rica has been a delight.
