I went down to get a count of Thayer's Gulls at the Yellow Freight building in Tukwila today. Found a 1st winter Glaucous Gull as a bonus. The count of Thayer's was about 120 and there were 3 Herring Gulls and about 110 Glaucous-wings to round it off. My counts were pretty rough as many of the birds were sleeping and packed together which often made ID tough.



The Yellow Freight building is on 48th Ave S., near the Duwamish curves of I-5. The building next to it (west of it) is also good for gulls and they can be more visible when using that roof which is?more steeply pitched.
