Hi
There was a live banded/color-banded Red-tailed Hawk, adult, at Shine
Tidelands, Jefferson County, today. Left: orange (possibly brown) with black
'JH'; Right: metal.
Also intergrade red/yellow shafted Flicker. What I don't quite get about
that is that it had the brown back/ deep colored flanks of the western race
of red-shafted, so where's the intergrade zone, Alaska?
Cheers
