Hi Birders,

WE ARE ON FOR TOMORROW!

Please review the schedule again and the times below along with the
instructions for the phone tree in the morning in case we need to cancel due to
weather. Wear plenty of warm clothes and I will bring hand warmers for
everyone!

Tuesday, January 11th 2011
Tide is above 9.0 ft between sunrise to 1:30 pm. High tide is 13.7 ft at
10:00.
6:00 am - Calls will be made if survey is canceled due to inclement
weather. You will get a phone call from the person whose names is above yours on
the list below, if you get a call, please call the person below your name
on the list.
7:00 am - Boat and kayak crews meet at the Visitor Center Overlook (where
the Wed morn group always meets) and go over assignments and fill out
volunteer forms (if you haven't already).
- grab waders if needed
7:30 am - Boat and kayak crews leave to launch at Luhr Beach - meet Daniel
at boat launch
- Walking Groups (Tribe, NNWR North Dike/Riparian, S. Dike) meet at the
Visitor Center Overlook
- Lisa will go over assignments and folks will fill out volunteer forms
(if you haven't already).
- grab waders if needed
8:00 am - Leave to start bird surveys.
End of Survey Checklist:
1. Double check datasheets for correct bird codes (use the code list).
2. Make sure each page includes the site, date, tide (high), and page
number.
3. Staple the datasheets together and place them in the box on the table
in the biology office.
4. Call Kelley to let her know you are done (707.333.4637).
5. Pat yourself on the back and join the rest of the teams at the
Nisqually Bar and Grill for lunch and comparing survey notes!

ALLGOOD AT 6 AM. ONCE YOU GET A CALL, CALL THE PERSON BELOW YOU ON THE LIST.
