Hello Tweeters,
This I like to share about the high count on the most wanted Warbler in
Winter.
We use to having for years this 2 birds ,Coming mostly every late October to
November staying to May.It is so easy to keep records of you birds in you
Yard. This year again we have 2 of this bright gorgeous beautiful birds
coming in end of October. In late December as always being so particular
hanging the Suet Feeders out,it was not quite light around 7.45AM.I do this
so no
preterit not eating the suet. What I discover the bush was moving full of
bright color birds.I had to wait a little to see the birds, but there where
about a flock of 13 birds all Townsend's Warblers. All the birds went on the
Suet what I make every 2
weeks.I still have all the man y Townsend's sharing the seven Suet feeders
with the Golden-crowned Kinglet's Ruby C.Kinglet's
Bewick's Wren, Song Sparrow,Downy Woodpeckers, Flickers Steller's
Jay,Oregon Junco, Spotted Towhee and 3 Varied Thrushes, and last the 25
regular Bushtit's.I purchase a small suet feeder who got 30 small holes ,and
got a roof protect from the rain,It is hanging in this Huge Rhode,The first
bird every morning is the Male Varied Thrush standing on a big twig to jump
up to get a bite of the Suet,(he can not get on to the perch)He repeat this
about 10 times. Many birds sitting around waiting to get there turn, but not
so, next is the Towhee what als jumping up to get a piece of the Suet..There
is also 2 huge feeders with 8 holes plus one of the feeder who got a
protected for the pesky Squirrels and Starling, this is a brand new feeder
who been used by masses of birds.I also have a feeder hanging on my patio
under the eves protected from the rain, were I can sit inside to watching the
birds coming from the Vine Maple tree,as again more Suet feeders.I have 1
feeder who got a dome HUD and you can adjust higher ore lower,so no big
birds can get inside,I crush unsalted Peanut's,what was designed for the
many Red-breasted Nuthatches.but now there are the other small birds as the
Kinglet;s and the Bewick's Wren and the Townsend's Warblers all are on Suet.
For some reason for over 3 weeks I had a Coopers Hawk hiding in the big Fir
trees in my backyard, who killed what I saw
2 Varied Thrushes, turning over the dead leaves in my back Yard. The many
Finches including the 5 Purple Finches are all going,I have 2 Finches
left,so there is no more seed to spill,I got 1 Tube Feeder with Sunflower
seed hanging in the front yard .
I got carried away trying to tell you about my many Townsend's Warblers.I
got to feed mostly all Suet what is so clean,I Buying some Cake Suet from
the feed Store label is a woodpecker and it is Peanutbutter,it is pretty
good,I hang this up in trees.
