Subject: [Tweeters] Orange tagged Red-tail

The e-mail below was just sent to me by Carole Hallett, who works with hawks
at Portand International Airport. Their wing tags are orange, Sea-Tac
Red-tails are either yellow or blue and Vancouver BC (YVR) now uses white
wing tags for both Red-tails and Rough-legs.

"Wow -- thanks for that sighting! This bird was caught at PDX as a
hatch-year in Sept 2008, released down near Ankeny NWR and has not been seen
since. Very cool to hear about the ones that are out there making a
living.

Thanks again for the report!

cheers,
