Something in the back of my bird-brain says "Sharp-Shinned Hawk."
Very hard for me to tell, given the lack of detail (esp. lacking the
bill shape and the overall coloration). But look at this photo on the
web and note the flattened head, long wing tips, and the long,
narrow, rounded tail:

I'm a bit out of my depths here, however, and would not be surprised
to be contradicted by greater birders than myself :)
