Hey tweets, I guess the good times had to stop rolling at some point,
and now they have. See the message below from Fred Hoyt, associate
director of the UW Botanic Gardens (the umbrella group that manages
UBNA and the CUH):

I want to give you a heads up that you and other quasi-regular users
will be receiving a notice on your car about paying for parking. It
is $2.50 per day and a book of 10 daily passes can be purchase at the
front desk for $25.00. If you want a monthly fee we have that for our
staff which can be purchased too.

I know this is a change but given the current and upcoming budget
scenarios facing us we have to do more to offset the amount Parking
Services charges us for the rent of the lot. Tom Hinckley, Interim
Director for the School of Forest Resources, has asked us to notify
any somewhat regular users of this change. I would appreciate it if
you could pass along this knowledge to the other birders that you are
familiar with.

You and anyone else can contact me at any time to ask questions or
seek further details.

Thanks for understanding.
