Hi Tony and Larry,

You were asking if this project would be successful. Successful
sterilization and pinioning of Mute Swans was done in Michigan this
last year at the Michigan oil spill, and we were successful in
finding good, permanent homes for all 6 of the Mute Swans that came
to the facility. As of this date, all 6 swans are doing well at
their new homes. My husband, who is an avian veterinarian, was the
response veterinarian at the oil spill and he would be happy to talk
with you more about this if you are interested.
