Anyone know the unincorporated, King County gun laws? This morning, someone shot what appeared to be a Merganser, across the street from my house (about 200 feet away from where I sat on my deck). It's my understanding that there's a 500' requirement from a residence, road or trail. Does this sound right? The County Sheriff spoke to the shooter (a neighbor, an ex-Ranger) and just...let it go. I haven't been able to find the actual, applicable statute concerning firearms. This happened in the Rutherford Slough in Fall City. If I understand the law correctly, there should be nowhere along the Rutherford Slough where firearms can be discharged, legally.
