Evening Grosbeaks were here, too, by January 1st when I returned from my
vacations, and I am still seeing a couple dozen or more of them daily. I
remember from past experience that they do decimate the food supply, but
with four dozen Juncos, four Varied Thrush, a half dozen Stellar Jays,
and an amazing number of Chickadees around all the time, I am refilling
feeders a couple times a day anyway--and loving every minute of it!

One good thing is that feed does not stay in the feeders long enough for
the weather to affect it much!
