Hi Michael, yes Mountain Plover was there today. I found it today at 2.30 p.m. exactly where it was reported yesterday. Thanks to all. The best way is to park at the Quinault Casino, the entrance to the beach is on left side of casino building, and walk north from there for about 3/4 mile. There are 4 houses on the beach behind the dunes and the bird was in between wood debris with one lonely sanderling all afternoon. Rubber boots or at least two plastic bags would be useful to cross the creeks. It is very funny bird, when beach combers were passing by with their dog, about 20 ft away, it only hunkered down and sat on the piece of wood. The tide was quite high earlier in the day but you can walk through the dunes. Hope this helps.
