The Hybrid Mallard located at Montlake Fill is of the Domestic hybrid variety called a Swedish Blue. For a complete identification help guide for domestic ducks refer to http://www.birds.cornell.edu/crows/domducks.htm,

It is said that these varieties of ducks are farm raised?for their delicate flavor of meat - not that I've tasted but just heard and read. Other mallard hybrids may include the upright "Indian Runners, Pekins, or Muscovy" which we?see released in our neighborhood parks.

I spotted a small raft of?BRANT to the north of Point Wells along the beach front, and next to them was a raft of PIGEON GIULIEMOT.I spotted a pair of?screaming AMERICAN BALD EAGLES Monday flying North to South along Richmond Beach Drive NW as I was walking near NW 195th Court. They were beautiful and I never tire of seeing or hearing them.??At?Richmond Beach Dr NW & NW 190th ST?I spotted a flock of?28 RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS sounding like cats-a-calling eerily.
