> Hello. If anybody knows anyone interested in banded red-tail hawks in our area, please pass this along. Today in Monroe at 4:30 PM I had a brief glimpse of a red-tail with a blue band on the forward left wing. I was driving fast and could not stop. I did manage to see what appeared to be white lettering on the band, and my best guess is that the bird was a young male. The exact location was along the NE side of Hwy 2, about a 1/2 mile before Fryelands Blvd heading east. There is a pulp-wood poplar grove there and the bird was flying along the edge, parallel to the highway. Hope this is of use. Thanks.
