Hello Tweeters,
I always had 2 Townsend's Warblers coming every late fall.Last year there
came end October 2 birds. But one morning the in mid December at 7.30 AM
going out in the yard hanging all the Suet feeder out in my front yard. There
was a lot of small yellow birds in the huge Rhode. It was to dark to see
what there where, but I WAITED AND TO MY SURPRISE THERE WHERE ALL TOWNSEND'
WARBLERS.The reason I taken all the Suet feeder in precaution not to get any
Rats. Sine I have to take them in also to fill them up.All my birds are on
my home made S even the Varied Thrushes ,Spotted Towhee and all Junco.
The newly arrive Townsend's was 13 new birds,But coming home one day,the
yard was so quite,no birds at all.I know that the Coopers Hawk went to the
Yard ,the reason after 2 hours I had only 4 Townsend's Warbler left,2 more
than I started with. All the birds what I got on my Website I Worship
dearly, make a diary daily how often there visiting the feeders. This started
in the late eighties,it was more less Patrick's doing, but I been keeping our
yard list on birds up.
I going to mention one small Suet Feeder ,which I purchased in Gig Harbor it
has 26 small holes,it is sturdy built ,it has 2 perches and a green
Roof, this little feeder is all the time busy, and birds waiting to get on.I
find an open spot in the huge Rhode who I can watch the birds from my
window.I would had 6 Varied Thrushes, but the Coopers taken three of this big
birds.
I hope you all enjoying my birds in my yard, there are this much importuned
than when I going birdying. And to all birders to let them know what ask me
privately if I still going birdying, the answer is YES.Weekly in
Nisqually, several times in December birding Mud Bay to Brady and Satsop 2
CBC Tahoma and Grays Harbor what is all by foot ,with the help of Jody Hess
,Roseanne Becker and Joann Simmons in Tacoma and in Grays Harbor with Lonnie
Somer and Jim Pruske from Olympia,

Cheers Ruth Sullivan,
