My wife Louise went to Nisqually this afternoon.
As she was walking out the new dike the egret flew past her and landed
over by the barns.
She went over to look , it was close enough for her to get really great
photos with her 300mm lens.
The legs appear mostly black with lighter yellowish areas in the top
half of the tibia.
The photos that she and I took on Oct 31 show yellow down through the
top half of the tarsus with the remainder of the tarsus and foot being
dark brown.
She is as I write this getting ready to post pictures to her Flickr pages.

I received an e mail yesterday with an official announcement of the
grand opening of the new boardwalk, Feb 1, speakers at 1:00 pm and
ribbon cutting at 1:45.
