A quick check of e-bird shows that the only sightings this year have been at Port Townsend - both at Point Wilson and Point Hudson near/in town.



There may have been other sightings, but if so, they're not in e-bird. I think Port Townsend has been the only reliable spot the last two winters.



I'm not sure exactly what tide is best, but I would think any time the tide is changing would be good.
