Tweets,
Along with a fair number of other folks breaking out of cabin fever, we
toured from Port Susan to the West 90, stopping at most of the well
known birding locations in between. It was a nice day with several
falcons and LOTS of eagles. At one point on the east 90 we spun a
circle and counted 25 eagles in all age groups.
What was surprising was that we did not see even a small flock of snow
geese in all that way. We had a few good looks at the salt water in
Port Susan and Jensen access with out seeing any large flocks on the
water either
I do know that they often feed or rest on the water and are not always
in the fields, but I cannot really remember going that far without
seeing even one small flock..
There are an abundance of swans in numerous flocks. They seem to be
expanding their territory somewhat.
Interesting!
