My husband and I went out to the Waterville Plateau area (Mansfield) to see
the Snowys and we managed to see FOUR (4).

#1 - Pointed out to us by a nice couple out on the north east corner of G
Rd & 15 Rd far off on the ridge behind a rock pile.

#2 - Also pointed out to us by the same nice couple on the north east corner
of H Rd & 15 Rd far off (but closed) on a grass patch.

#2 (again, 2 hrs later) - Seen far off on the east ridge on H Rd just north
of 15 Rd.

#1 (again, 2 hrs later) - Seen far off in a snowy field east of G Rd, just
north of 15 Rd. This owl was mobbed by a crow, and you could see them
"dancing" in the sunset - was quite nice.

#3 - Seen just before the sunset on Hw172, between Division Rd and Rd A -
closer to Rd A. It was rather close to the road sitting on a rock pile. We
got to see it take flight.

#4 - After #3 took flight, this one came in from the East and landed in the
same rock pile. It shortly after took off, flew across the road, and landed
in a rock pile on the south side of Hw172 near Rd A.

We also saw Yellow and Brown Horned Larks, Snow Buntings & Black-Billed
Magpie.

We did not see the Saw-Whet Owl at Birdgeport - though did see some pellets.
It is in one of the two small douglas fir trees just after the right turn,
and far before the hill right?
