Good afternoon Tweeters - multi-tasking while watching football....

9:45 showed up for some suet. Don't know if this is of any curiosity that it's still around. But my one question is - there is no red nape on this bird. Is this a cross or other reason for not having it. The undersides are a "safety yellow".

Wish I had more to report.

Husband noticed one Anna's at feeder with clump of fuzz in her mouth (cotton mouth?) so guess nesting has commenced. Just would hope she decides to settle down in our yard.

One more question: I have and egg I'm still trying to id - it's pinkish (pearlish) white no markings at all. Length a bit over and 1" and about and 1" at the base. Elliptical. My dog found it on the ground - carried it unbeknownst to us and when we told her to drop it, she put her mouth near the ground and set it down ever so gently (she's a Golden Retriever). We thought she'd picked up a rock or a stick. This is from several seasons ago, but have tried finding it in books/online. Does anyone have an idea? Any eggs of birds that ground nest (juncos/towhees have spots, don't they?) that look like this? Is it too small for a flicker? Any leads would be most appreciated.
