Subject: [Tweeters] Help with Hunn book

Hey tweets, heartfelt thanks to all of you who responded to my plea
for help nailing down the exact edition of Terry and Dennis's book
cited by Gene. It turns out a *lot* of you have a copy of "A Guide to
Bird Finding in Washington," *and* you were eager to share the
information you had about your editions.

I feel lucky to belong to such a thoughtful, caring community as
Tweeters, in which so many are willing to give their time and effort
to help others. I am also highly gratified that so many of you buy
bird books in quantity! Keep that habit going strong.

FYI, several birders told me that 14 (!) Trumpeter Swans flew into the
waters of the Fill on Jan. 22. I missed the horde and must have caught
only the leading edge (4). Any day you see a swan is a great day, so
what does that make Jan. 22? Some kind of a red-letter record, I
think. - Connie, Seattle
