As many of you know there are many swans wearing neck bands. The mid-winter
swan survey was conducted by WDFW last Tuesday. The results are not yet
compiled. In the general area of the recent report to tweeters I personally
saw 4 collars, 2 were trumpeters ??UK and 25UK and two tundra swans P848
and P713. There were many others collars sited that day by the other
counters in other areas of the valley.
Anyone out there with a scope, please take time to read the codes if
you can. Photos are most welcome as TTSS is compiling a photo gallery of the
collared swans. We do have an Adopt-A-Swan program that has been popular
with many people including school classes around the country. The funds go
toward solving the lead poisoning issue here in Washington.
