Hello Tweeters;
?
I had Peterson's & Audubon for iPhone but rarely used them.?I prefer iBird Explorer Pro for iPhone & think it's the best app for my money.
?
The North America version is $29.99 for 924 species. I?also use the Birds Eye app by Kenn Kaufmann (ebird) for tracking my life list and?to follow local sightings. I have the National Geographic app mentioned by a previous poster, but I prefer to use it?primarily as a?cross reference (mostly to check twice on my?field marks and?migration overlaps). Other apps I've purchased then deleted.?The iBird Pro?seems to be the?most reliable field app for use with identification, seeing accurate range maps, use of field markings, listings of similar species, and real?photos in various seasonal or maturation phases as well as excellent illustrations. I hope you find this information helpful.
