Unless you need a shorter tripod for airline traveling go for the one with fewer segments: that tripod will be more stable with thicker tubing all the way to the ground.

There are better tripods than the CT 101 Tripod (and heads better than it's FT-101 head) for less money. You pay for the branding.

You also don't say what scope you have on the top (a 65 or an 80mm Swaro?).
