We headed up to Reifel today to look for the Northern Hawk Owl. Didn't see it on the way in, but on the way out, other birders pointed it out. As described previously, the hawk owl was in the yard of the home which has a tennis court on the left as you face the house. This location is across the street from a house with a wide horizontal strip of pale yellow around the house and pale green above and below. As you head towards Reifel, it would be just before the right angle bend to the left in Westham Island Road mentioned in other e-mails. This time the hawk owl was in a deciduous tree close to the road, sitting about halfway up and next to the trunk. There is some parking at the right angle corner. It is quite muddy, so dress accordingly.
