hi all ... Gene and I drove the Julia Butler Hansen Refuge on
Wednesday ... NICE day there with temps in the mid-70s ... this
refuge is for Columbian White-tailed Deer and WE SAW ONE
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... always a treat ... birding highlight was
watching some Cliff Swallows building a nesting complex under the
eves of the Headquarters ... another highlight was watching a family
of 4 Belted Kingfishers fishing !!!! ... or at least I assume the
parents were fishing ... the other two were just chasing the first
two around ...

here's the list of 26 ... it would be much longer if I could ID what
I could hear, but just doesn't happen ... so here's what we saw, and
a couple commons ones which I heard ...
