My brother took the attached photo of an odd-looking Red-Winged Blackbird
(at least I'm assuming it's a RWBL) which has been hanging out at the
Albertson's on Sedgwick Rd. in Port Orchard.

Could this be some molt phase, or a hybrid, or is it another of Mother
Nature's jokes? I've looked on the 'net re RWBL molts and have seen several
articles, but they don't have photos, dang it. Any info or speculation
appreciated!
