Hi all,
The zone 1 MAMU survey crew (Lisa Sztukowski, Tom Bloxton, and myself) spotted a Horned Puffin in breeding plumage today about 2 miles east of Pillar Point near Sekiu. We were about a kilometer offshore, but got some great pictures I'll post once we get back to the crew house in Port Townsend Friday night. Other relative rarities include Ancient Murrelets and our first juvenile MAMU of the season.
