Tuesday I took the Cameron Lake Road north from Monse and found an avocet at
the long narrow pond south of Dulley Lake and at Dulley Lake there were two
Greater Yellowlegs, a Long-billed Dowitcher, about a dozen Wilson's
Phalerope, about a dozen Least Sandpiper and a Baird's Sandpiper.

In Omak afterwards, there were Black Swifts swooping low as I filled up on
gas.

At my place in the Aeneas Valley there were two broods of Dusky Grouse, the
chicks only a few days old, about the size of a tennis ball.
