today as i drove off hwy 203 onto 24th ne near the south side of carnation i
saw a young steller's jay. the bird appeared to have just fledged. the
blues were very vibrant and pastel and the bird flapped a lot to get little
done. the most striking thing about it was its bright yellow bill. i
thought young jays had black bills. i've tried to web search and answer
with no luck. if anyone can shed light on this, please let me know.
