Birders,

I am a South Carolina birder visiting Washington this week, got out in
the rain at 12:30 today for quick check in Seward Park. Hoping for
Black Swift-none, but three Vaux's were nice-near the parking lot main
entrance near Lake Washington.

Traveling the North Cascades Highway (20) tomorrow, then on to
Concocully, Cameron Lake Road in Okanogan Highlands.

Target list: Black Swift, Cassin's Vireo, Western Bluebird, Pigmy
Nuthatch, White-headed Woodpecker, Black-backed Woodpecker, Hammond's
and Dusky Flycachers, Pacific Wren, Sooty and Spruce Grouse, Sage
Thrasher, Chukar,Brewer's Sparrow, White-tailed Ptarmian, White-winged
Crossbill, Sharp-tailed Grouse.

A long list, to be sure. Hope for 3-8 of them, more if I'm real
fortunate.

Been monitoring the list for a month, encouraging reports on Black Swift
and Blackbacked Woodpecker. Hope i can find the elusive White-headed
Woodies on Cameron Road.
