This is the June 2011 report of turkey vultures.
There are still a few migrants coming through
this month, but most are back to their nesting
grounds in Washington and British Columbia.
Following are vultures seen in Washington and Oregon:

04 ? 1 soaring behind the Bingham Creek Hatchery; 1 at Crescent Lake WA/SW
05 ? 3 roosting beside Mayfield Lake in Lewis Couty
06 ? kettle of 4 riding thermals over northwest
Portland; 1 at Mt. Spokane State Park
07 ? 1 over Hunn Meadow West; 7 over the Wenzel Slough area
08 ? 6 in the Elma area
09 ? 1 along Valentine Road, Whidbey Island
11 ? 2 circling over the Tualatin River NWR,
Oregon; 1 at Bethel Ridge; 1 soaring near ridgetop near Dan Nesse Tower
12 ? 1 at Three Forks NA
13 ? 8 over Wenzel Slough, east portion
14 ? 5 at Wenzel Slough, west portion; 6 at Westport
15 ? 2 in the center of a hayfield, Enumclaw
17 ? groups of 20 heading for clumps of conifers
an hour before sunset in Yakima neighborhoods; 4
over Roy; 1 at North Bend; 1 at Cabin Creek; 1 at
Ellensburg; 1 at Yakima Canyon MP12
18 ? 1 at Wilson Creek; 1 over Fort Simcoe SP; 7
in a loose flock circling over the Tieton River, US12
19 ? 12 gliding west along Bethel Ridge; 1 took
off from ground, Rimrock; 1 at Packwood Township;
1 over the Nisqually Valley; 1 in rocking flight in the Wenatchee River Valley
23 ? 1 circling near Cameron Lake Road
25 ? 4 on a deer carcass, Olympic NF
26 ? 5 at Vantage/Huntzinger Road; 1 northwest of
Conconully; 1 over fields and orchards ENE of
Omak; 3 circling 600? over the valley floor WNW of Omak
27 ? 1 east of Dryden; 1 circling high SSW of Peshastin

By the end of next month we should see a mix of
red and dark grey heads (the just fledged young
