On Sunday July 17th I was driving west on highway 30 between Mosier and Rowena Oregon. I drove by a house with a large quail standing in the front yard and immediatly noticed it was not a California Quail, so I stopped immediatly and reversed enough to get a look at the bird adn get off the road. To my utter disbelief I saw standing before my eyes an adult Mountain Quail with 9 juveniles sunning and feeding in this persons front yard. The drive was just east of the intersection of Marsh Cutoff Rd and Highway 30 on the north side of the road, which you should be able to locate on Googel Maps. The dirveway is the next drive east of the previous mentioned interesection, the owners have some low growing juniper shrubs in the front yard. I am sorry I did not get the address but they could still be hanging around. Thought you all would be interested.

Good Luck
