This is probably a real beginner (which I am) question but I'm wondering how
most people bird for owls.

Do you try to observe by sight near dusk or dawn?
Listen for calls during that time or at night?
Mixture of both?

Owls are nocturnal but is it very likely to get sightings during the day?

I'm taking a trip to the Okanogan area and would like to find some owls.
I'll probably spend some time near and after dusk on the Sinlahekin Rd.
