Maupin. On July 17 a BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD and a VIRGINIA?S WARBLER were
seen near Twin Peaks in the Oregon Canyon Mountains. A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK
was seen July 20 in Hillsboro.

Heavy shorebird movements were noted during the week, including the first

Reservoir. A bright breeding plumaged SURFBIRD photographed July 12 at
Yachats. Six MARBLED GODWITS were at Chickahominy Reservoir July 18.

Bird numbers are now increasing at Lake Abert. A July 15 survey included

That?s it for this week.
