Dear Tweets,
While traveling on Hwy 510 yesterday in Yelm towards the late evening
there were about 15 long necked geese flying Northeast across the
highway.
I had the pleasure of watching a very large Pileated Woodpecker attack
a few evergreen branches yesterday afternoon. He pecked so hard that
he was knocking down small branches and pine cones out of the tree -
this what alerted me to his presence. Glad I wasn't standing under him
at the time.
Also seen around Yelm, a Eurasian Collared Dove perched on a
neighborhood electric wire and earlier this week there were about 15
Bushtits taking turns in my bird bath.
