Eatonville is outside the documented range of the Yellow Pine Chipmunk.
Photos would be good. This location represents a significant bit of new
information on the range of the species in western Washington, indicating
occupied habitat at lower elevation than previously documented.

Thank you everyone for emailing me about these mini chipmunks. Kevin Mack
and Ian has the answer with Yellow-pine Chipmunks. I forgot to add they have
been here for at least a month and are not growing like young Townsends
would. I will get a photo as soon as I can, they are very shy.

We do have a new batch of Douglas Squirrels, rowdy youngsters :)
