I'm not sure if Eurasian Collared-Doves have been reported from Magnuson Park or not. Bob Vandenbosch and I saw one on the light standard at the west end of the Children's Hospital parking lot on Friday, 29 July. I left town right afterwards and forgot to send to tweeters. I would be curious to know about previous records, just so I can confirm how spotty my tweeters perusal really is.

We found Boreal Chickadees at Manning Park, Strawberry Flats yesterday and up the Alpine Meadows road just above the Cascade Overlook today (before the rain came), just to follow up after my request for info yesterday. Thanks to Wayne Weber for your good advice about finding them there! I've found them one of the hardest bird species to photograph, and we didn't have much better luck on this trip. They stay up high and are most often in the open when silhouetted against a white sky. When they come down lower, they hide among the spruce needles. One of these days . . .
