I saw Vauk's at UW/Lake WA a few days ago- which is a short distance from your position- as the Swift flies.

Not sure if it's common knowledge as I'm just visiting from NYC, but there were swifts over Seattle this evening. 4th and Lenora to be exact, and I'm guessing they were Vaux's (crappy angle and light for my binocs). It looked like there were 6-8 of them flying high.

If I'm losing my mind let me know.
