Subject: [Tweeters] Song Sparrows

Song sparrows are trying to get in the house. One song sparrow repeatedly
flew into my patio door window or screen, sometimes hanging on to the screen
before dropping or flying down and doing it again. This went on for hours.
He left at dark and returned (or another took his/her place) the next day at
a different window and hit window or screen for hours. The next day the
head banging had stopped but one (possibly a different one) hung around just
outside the window all day. Nothing I did seemed to discourage them. Is
this normal? I have been feeding birds in this yard for twelve years and
never encountered this before. Is it possible they are trying to get to the
reflection of trees in my windows?
