Hi Tweets,

My husband, Craig, and I were just watching (through the window) a
family of Chestnut-backed Chickadees foraging on a shrub and maple
tree next to our front door.
A male Rufous Hummingbird was also perched on the Wisteria over the
front steps (guarding the hummingbird feeder and flowers near the
door) and did not mind the chickadees.
However, when an Orange-crowned Warbler flew into the shrub, the
Rufous went berserk, chasing the warbler in and out of branches,
chirping all the while and saw the warbler off!
I guess it stands to reason, since the warbler is known to take
flower nectar, it was perceived as more of a threat.
